In Miami depending on the season the weather can be hit or miss. During the winter, it’s definitely a lot more hit then miss.

Car Wash

This was one of those moments where I was kicking myself for NOT having my camera. Yes, I had my iPhone and I guess that would’ve been just fine. But Elmo deserved all the pixels of my Canon 7D. Cruising north on U.S. 1 in Miami, I spotted Elmo out the corner of my eye. I told myself like I often do “that would make a great photo…” alas no DSLR just my iPhone. That’s when I made a u turn and headed back home to grab my rig hoping Elmo would still be there peddling $20 car washes. As luck would have it Elmo was still there, now seated with a look of defeat. I parked my jeep and walked up to Elmo, who at the time had his head down with the car wash sign haphazardly in his lap pointing to the ground. There were no words exchanged between Elmo and myself, just the universal sign of me holding up my camera gesturing for a photo. Elmo complied sat up straight and that was it. Oh and if you’re wondering what’s in the jar at his feet…pickled sausages. Thanks Elmo.
