It’s not often you come across a crew with Filipino emcee’s on the team, being Pinoy myself I truly enjoyed this group. Friends I give you TH3RDZ. These images do this act no justice, they were a blast to shoot. You can listen to their set on KEXP Street Sounds here. More photos and video after the jump.

Oh blog, how I’ve neglected you. Things have been hectic at the day job and photography has taken a backseat…gasp. Back in February I shot an in studio with Seattle rock band Brokaw for KEXP. You can listen to the full set here. More photos on deck, I promise.

My latest assignment for KEXP took me to Seattle’s famed Crocodile to shoot Merge recording artist, Eleanor Friedberger. Eleanor is currently on the Portlandia Tour and will be doing her thing at SXSW. Check the Live Review on KEXP. More photos after the jump.

Early December I caught up with one of my favorite people in DC, the beautiful and talented Victoria Milkovich. She emailed asking me to photograph her for the upcoming Polaroid exhibit she curated, Exposed opening tonight at SOVA. I gladly obliged.
What better way to cover the turn of the century photography exhibit TruthBeauty at the Phillips Collection then with my trusty iPhone? Like the exhibit documents pictorialism spanning the 100 years between 1845 – 1945 photography was just being considered a recognized art genre. Look, I’m not gonna sit here and claim to be an art historian, I’m far from it. I will make the bold comparison of the pictorialist movement with that of the mobile photography movement today. Mobile photographers are taking some damn good shots and are finally being recognized as dare I say…photographers?
Here are a few of my iPhone shots below from the Phillips After 5 TruthBeauty event. For more check out ReadysetDC.

I’ve lived in D.C. for almost ten years and I hardly get over to the H Street N.E. corridor. I’ve got to change that. What’s even crazier? This was my first time ever attending the H Street Festival. Great people watching makes for great photography.
